Studentstaden
Many students organise their accomodation through Studentstaden, as I did, and their office was the first place I wanted to find in order to collect my keys.
Their office is upstairs in Svava Gallerian.
Directions
I wanted to go here before I went anywhere else, so I'm giving directions from the bus station (which suffice for the train station) and from Stora Torget.
From the Bus Station
Walk 60m northwest up Stadshusgatan to the fountain in front of the train station at Olof Palmes Plats. Turn left, and walk the short distance out onto Kungsgatan and across the street (~40m). Go 1 block (~100m) southwest down Bangårdsgatan to the junction with Dragarbrunnsgatan. Turn right, and walk 100m northwest up Dragarbrunnsgatan to the entrance to Svava Gallerian. Enter the shopping centre and take the escalator, which is immediately inside the door, to the first floor. Total distance: ~400m.
From Stora Torget
Walk ~100m (1 block) northeast down Vaksalagatan to the junction with Dragarbrunnsgatan. Cross the street and walk ~120m to the entrance to Svava Gallerian. Enter the shopping centre and take the escalator, which is immediately inside the door, to the first floor. Total distance: <250m.
